WE HAVE A DATE!!!!

Yes, yes, yes!!! We LEAVE May 27th for our appointment on May 29th to look at our girlie's referral! We will pick up the referral the 30th, hop on an overnight train, and then meet her on the 31st!!!! I am SO excited! Her brothers wake up EVERY morning asking when we are leaving!

We still need about $5,500 more in our fsp (Family sponsorship program on Reece's Rainbow) to be fully funded. We have sold our car, our furniture, and have done multiple fundraisers, auctions, giveaways, etc but are still short. There is a donation button on the ride side of our blog if you can help! We would also appreciate prayer!

Our girlie is sick and has medical needs that NEED to be addressed and cared for when we bring her home. Please pray for her! Thank you all so much!

Some pics for you all!

They found a huge puddle...sure, why not?! ;)
 Face time with daddy!

A sweet girl gave us a blog makeover! Now I just need to be better at updating!
March 27th was a great day...we were submitted!!! We have been *patiently* awaiting travel dates and are hoping to receive them very soon! We are still a good $7,000 short and that includes the money we got for selling our only car. This entire process has been such a blessing. We have always valued our family more than material things, but God has just been so faithful in all of this! We are so thankful for every encouraging word, every prayer, and every donation. We will update with more info as soon as we hear anything! There's a donation button on our blog now if you'd like to donate. We also have an auction on Facebook!

We were blessed to go to Zach's BMT graduation a few weeks ago! The boys were so happy to see daddy! It was such a great weekend and we are so extremely proud of the man he is! Please keep him in your prayers as well as our family. Thank you guys! We are thankful for each on of you!

Quote of the day
Benjamin turns to be out of the blue and says, "I love my sissy!" Sweet girl, you are so loved!

Father's day

26 months ago, Benjamin was brought into the world and he was in awe...

8 months ago, Isaac joined our family and he became a daddy again...
He doesn't always do things I do or do things the way I would...
Yet we adore him. He's my best friend and our boys think the world of him...
He does things the way "daddy" does them. He shows our boys they matter and spends time with them. I would give away all we own before trading that quality time...and so would he. We love you, Zach. Happy daddy's day! (Or as Benjamin says "Happy Father's day birthday! Yay cupcakes!")

Time matters

I heard a saying that said "Spend half as much money and twice as much time on your children" Amen!
Teaching Benjamin about trucks and what each one does

I found Zach and Isaac like this one night...

 Park time!

If you're happy and you know it shout AMEN! Both boys love that part!

 Homemade pizza

Family naps are the best!

Look who learned to CRAWL!!! I had just finished getting ready and walked into the living room. Anytime I have a few minutes by myself the big boys race to me when I come back in the room. Isaac was fussing and calling out "Mama...mama...mama..." as the two big boys came towards me...Then Isaac got on his hands and knees, crawled all the way to me, and climbed up my legs! All of us were amazed and started cheering for him. He can do the normal crawl but also crawls like a little crab at times...as well as does push ups then walks his hands backwards to the point where he is almost standing straight up by himself! He has 2 teeth now and is just the happiest little guy!

Benjamin got a "big boy bed" and sleeps ALL night in it when I put him in it ;) He is mr. independent but mommy wants him with us still! SO proud of my big boy! He picked out his Cars bedding and that was the only thing he has ever really asked to get at the store and said "Pleeeease have dat" when I told him I was going to put it back! He is so sweet.

I put you boys in a cutest baby contest and you won! Pictures from our free mini photo session will be on as soon as we get them taken! Way to be cute boys ;)

Slowing down

I need to slow down. I need to put enjoying my family before worrying or stressing about organizing, cleaning, etc. My dad has been reminding me this, "The boys will remember their mommy spending time  with them, not that they had a messy house..."

Amen. I pray they have sweet, loving memories of a fun childhood and of parents who put them before a dirty house, messy car, or a drawer full of junk that needs to be sorted.

If you come into our home you will probably step on a toy or see dishes stacked on the sink...but you'll also see two little boys who are our everything. Two little boys who are being put first now, not "later." I  I love you, my sweet boys, and promise mommy will slow down... <3 I'm enjoying the days of Benjamin saying "Hold you mommy" and Isaac reaching for me, or crying when I leave the room...I need you boys just as much as you need me <3

Better late than never...

What has happened since I stopped blogging? Oh, we had another baby! ;)

Isaac Zachary Colwell was born on October 14th 2012 weighing 7 pounds 12 oz and was 21 in long. After laboring without any pain meds, I was glad to hold my sweet baby boy! Holding both my boys has been my glimpses of Heaven on Earth. Nothing compares to the love you feel for your babies...and I am amazed at how much God uses them to teach me daily.

Our first family picture <3

So since I totally fail at blogging the first 6 months old Isaac's life, here are some pics of the boys

I've gotten pooped on a few times. I just laugh and let it happen

The boys are so fun..I love watching them together. Isaac is a tough considering the way Benjamin "plays" with him (Head butting, horsey riding, dump truck riding/crashing...) They are the best of friends already <3

I also became and auntie to this amazing little guy! <3

I got to deliver Titus and it was such an amazing experience. I loved watching my sweet sister meet her baby for the first time and the love for him pour out of her, SO sweet!
